More export options for MailerMate

September 6th, 2010

We just added some new “Export as CSV” functions to MailerMate.

You can now export unsubscribes per mailing list and failed (bounced) addresses. Export these out to a CSV file for further use, cleaning your lists and updating your records.

CSV files work in Excel, Numbers and Google Docs.

Because MailerMate is “software-as-a-service” (or “SaaS”) these features are instantly available to all users at no cost.

Thanks for using MailerMate.

New lower rates for bulk purchases

March 11th, 2010

We’re pleased to offer new, substantial discounts on MailerMate credits when purchased in bulk.

MailerMate is great for ad-hoc usage, with no commitment and no monthly contract. However, if you send a great many emails each month you can make great savings by buying credits in bulk.

Please do contact us if you have numbers above 30,000 email sends in mind and we’ll work out a great deal for you.

Terms available on purchases over £1000

January 5th, 2010

You can already buy credits quickly and conveniently using PayPal, but we realise that this isn’t ideal for every client.

Starting now, we’re able to invoice you for purchases over £1000 (+ VAT) and offer 30 day terms (subject to status) on the credits. We hope this makes it easier for you to work with MailerMate and get the most out of your campaigns.

Wishing all of you a happy new year!

Still delivering, despite the strike

October 23rd, 2009

Whether you support Royal Mail, or the CWU in the current postal dispute (or neither!), one thing is for sure; MailerMate is never on strike.

MailerMate – delivering your messages as usual.

Cleaning your data with Mailing Groups

October 20th, 2009

A few months ago we introduced a new feature, Mailing Groups, which lets you associate mailing lists with one another. Useful if you do multiple mailings to different audiences, but you want to keep track of unsubscribed and failed emails across the board.

Now, let’s say you have added a new product and want to add a thousand new recipients into your mailing as a separate list – how do you know that they’ve not already unsubscribed from another of your product mailings in the past?

By linking the old and new lists together in a Mailing Group, MailerMate works out the differences and synchronises your mailing lists – keeping you compliant, and your customers happy.

Email marketing vital over the Christmas period

October 20th, 2009

Companies looking to raise their profile over the Christmas period should turn to email marketing, an expert advises.

Diane Forster, writing for Promotion World, claims that many companies focus their advertising on the holiday period because they believe a well-designed campaign is a key to success.

She says that the chances of a business achieving conversions is increased if they adopt techniques such as promotional codes and e-gift cards.

“Users love to receive the occasional promotional code as it makes them feel as though they are going to receive an exclusively low price that few others will receive,” she asserts.

MailerMate supports custom fields, and promotional codes are a great way of personalising each message and offering recipients a discount.

MailerMate is free to sign up, and pay-as-you-use.

Calling all MailerMate users

August 12th, 2009

We’re putting together some examples of how real users have benefited from using MailerMate, and we’d like to hear from you.

We’ve already heard great stories of how MailerMate campaigns have secured appointments with prospective clients, generated new business, and maximised transactions from users’ existing customers. We’d now like to write these up in a more formal way so other users can benefit from best practice in customer communication by email.

If you’d like to be involved in our case studies, please get in touch. Email info[at]MailerMate .co.uk

Introducing the latest MailerMate

July 27th, 2009

We’ve been hard at work on MailerMate over the past few weeks, culminating in this weekend’s scheduled maintenance to make the changes live. We thought it would be good to update you on the improvements to MailerMate.

1. Better performance

We’ve moved MailerMate to a new, more powerful server system in a highly-connected data centre. You should notice faster performance of the system, especially when uploading large mailing lists.

2. Automatic failed email detection

If email addresses fail because they don’t exist, this could cause problems with the other working emails in your lists. Now, MailerMate removes failed addresses automatically, to increase the reliability of your email sends.

This prevents you wasting credits on sending emails MailerMate already knows won’t be delivered.

If an email bounces simply because a mailbox is full, or some other “soft” error, nothing is affected and the email will be tried again in your next send.

3. Better unsubscribe handling

Previously, opted-out emails were simply flagged but kept in your mailing lists. If users choose to unsubscribe, they are now moved to a separate table – allowing you at-a-glance monitoring of unsubscribes, while keeping your lists tidy.

4. Improved send rate

Due to the more powerful server, and cleaner mailing lists – MailerMate now sends emails much faster, with more successful deliveries than ever before.

5. Miscellaneous things

We put MailerMate back together and there were some bits left over, meaning that: we’ve fixed a few other minor problems too.

A new, more reliable MailerMate

We hope you’ll find the new MailerMate faster, more reliable and more effective than ever before.

We’d love to hear from you, so please do drop us an email to info[at]mailermate.co.uk if you have any questions, comments, or examples of how MailerMate has generated new business for you.

Direct mail versus MailerMate

July 23rd, 2009

We thought it would be fun to contrast the costs involved with a direct mail campaign, with doing the same thing on MailerMate – with a lot less expense and hassle.

(Prices for print and artwork are based on rounded averages of three quotations received July 2009.)

Direct mail campaigns still have their place, but if you’ve not tried email communication with your customers or prospects, then now is the time.
